A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval of self. To ape is to copy, to prove is to convince. Who do we need to copy to convince them to approve us?
We study information that is not ours, to memorize facts that are more often opinions and at times propaganda. We do these things with the hope of being regarded as intelligent so we might have a better future.
The crux comes when you believe you deserve a reward for your effort and then come to realise, if your face does not fit, you are not getting in.
The educated are many, the jobs at your skill set are few, even less are those that make the decisions. Who you know gets you further than what you apparently study and what you know?
We have to study the mechanics of life and ways of people in the circles we wish to be with. There are truths not covered in education that we need to know if we are planning to fit in.
A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval, find your own path, be brave enough to play by your own rules, learn how to say no and when to say yes.
Peace comes from being true to yourself. Stop trying to copy everyone else, as you might have to walk in the opposite direction from the crowd, so you can be your damn self.
